Desert Winds without a doubt is the best care home we could have wished for. They take amazing care of my parents and they love them like family. I couldn't recommend this place enough.

My grandmother was at Desert Winds Assisted Living Home with Constantin and Manuela for over 9 years. She was a memory care patient, unable to care for herself and completely bedridden. A few years ago my aunt was diagnosed with advanced stage cancer. Shortly into her diagnosis she began requiring daily care and assistance. Seeing how well they cared for our grandmother she made the decision to move into Desert Winds during these difficult times. It is a beautiful home in Mesa, AZ, with about 6 rooms. They can have anywhere from 5 to 10 residents at a time. It’s never too crowded and always feels like you’re visiting your family member at home. The owners, Constantin and Manuela, are the primary caretakers along with help from a few other care givers – are all EXCELLENT! They received home cooked meals every day, were kept hydrated, bathed, and in clean clothes and linens. They NEVER had bed sore because they always were sure to move and rotate them properly. Our minds were at ease knowing they were comfortable and cared for. I truly believe they wouldn’t have lived as long as they did in any other home. Thank you Desert Winds!

I cannot possibly say enough good things about Desert Winds and what wonderful people Manuela and Constantin are. They do not only care for their residents but they truly love them. They have been providing assisted living care for over 25 years, are gifted at what they do and have blessed many families. I was fortunate to be a part of one of them. Ironically it was two glowing Google reviews that brought me to contact Desert Winds earlier this year. We had reached the point where my 93 year old aunt could no longer safely live alone even with home care three days a week. I and most of her family live in Michigan and she was not interested in moving back. I was collecting a list of places to take my aunt to visit as we were having that difficult discussion. We were fortunate that they did have one bed available. My aunt moved in four days after our visit. She and most of the other residents were not very mobile and required a high level of care. The personal care provided by Manuela, Constantin and their wonderful staff included nutritious home cooked meals, personal hygiene aid, showers, toileting assistance, incontinence care and lots of love and attention. My aunt was diagnosed with terminal cancer about 11 weeks after moving in. She spent the next six weeks on hospice care during which time she was bedridden. I visited many times over the four months she was at Desert Winds. The residents and home were always well tended. The aroma of something good cooking was always in the air. My aunt was always clean, in clean clothes and happy. She never experienced any skin issues even though bedbound. Manuela was great at communicating my aunt’s needs and wishes. The peace of mind provided by knowing that my aunt was in such loving and capable hands was incredible. As an added bonus, I and my aunts were blessed to get to know Manuela and Constantin. My only disappointment is that my aunt did not get to stay with them longer and that I did not get to meet them sooner. God bless you in your mission Manuela and Constantin!

Truer words could not describe Desert Winds. The environment, love & care given by Manuela, Constantin & staff are beyond compare. We know that they honestly care about our Dad which makes our separation from him a bit easier. We know he couldn't be in better hands & wouldn't receive the same love & concern than he has now. The residents are treated to Manuela's fabulous home cooked meals. I'm still trying to replicate her green bean recipe. 🙂 Our family is very fortunate that Desert Winds was recommended to us in our time of need. Thank you for what you do Manuela & Constantin. You are a Blessing to us. ❤
