If I could give ten stars, I absolutely would. After a terrible experience at a previous memory care facility, finding Geraldine Roy was truly a blessing for my mom. From the moment I walked through the doors, I knew this was the right place. The difference here is that residents are treated as individuals, not just as a number. I could go on and on for days about the staff! To know I have caregivers that love on and care for my mom when I can’t be there means the world to me. Each one of them are incredibly kind, compassionate, and genuinely know my mom as a person. They send frequent updates, share photos of her enjoying activities, and truly care for the residents. They decorate for holidays and celebrate all the special moments like surprising my mom with a huge balloon and a cake for her birthday. Little things like that truly set Geraldine Roy apart from other homes. The rooms are bright, big, and so cozy, and the entire home is beautifully maintained. Richard, the house manager, is absolutely wonderful and keeps everything running smoothly. One of the owners, Brent, is one of the kindest and most caring souls I’ve ever met. He has always been incredibly accommodating to my mom’s needs and makes sure things are done the right way—something we unfortunately did not experience at her previous facility. My mom loves living here so much that whenever I take her out for an outing, she can’t wait to get back to “her home.” As difficult as it is to place a loved one in someone else’s care, I never question her safety or the quality of care she receives here. I truly cannot imagine my mom being anywhere else, and I will forever be grateful for this amazing home.
