From a recent review, I have experienced the opposite with my wife who has been at Madera Assisted Living since April 2022. I am not questioning everything that was stated but I did notice her mother was at the facility from July 2021 to April 2023. The following is from my observations while visiting Madera Assisted Living. I have been with a Support Group for over seven years and realize that not everyone grieves in the same manner. I have lost both parents, other family members and friends so I know what it is like to lose a loved one, as it is never easy. Prior to moving my wife to Madera, she was at a long-term care facility near the Chandler Hospital. I basically visit my wife every day and have been doing so since July 2017. If our daughter and I had not moved my wife to Madera, it is my opinion she would not be with us today. Before being moved, l along with caregivers were feeding her puréed food. I cannot say she’s feeding herself every meal as of this note, but I have witnessed her feeding herself. Caregivers and l have found, you do not touch food that is on her plate as she will try to slap your hand. I believe the caregivers have done a great job with my wife and other residents. I feel I can make that comment from my visits as I walk from the front door to the back of the house where my wife stays. My suggestion to anyone who needs a facility for their loved one is to visit Madera Assisted Living.

My spouse was diagnosed with Frontaltemporal Dementia in 2017 and was placed in a Long Term Care Facility. After multi discussions in 2022 with their director and CEO regarding lack of care and personnel issues, my daughter and l decided to check out other facilities. I had been attending group sessions conducted by the Chaplain of Sage Hospice and Palliative Care. After mentioning that l would like to relocate my spouse, the Chaplain informed their Social Counselor who then contacted me regarding an opening at Madera Assisted Living in Gilbert. I visited the facility in April of 2022. Based on my observations, discussions with Head Caregiver, and the owner of the Group Home, l knew this was where l wanted my spouse relocated. I did not feel there was a need to visit any additional facilities. Immediately, l felt a burden was lifted from my shoulders. As of this note, I have no regrets about our decision. I visit daily (almost) and I'm always greeted cheerfully. My wife, along with other residents, are always well taken care of, given genuine love, and respect. There has been very little turnover of caregivers which is major! Recently, the facility was inspected by the state and did not receive ANY violations. The maximum number of residents at this Group Home is TEN. Based on observations of my spouse, I feel the caregivers know each resident's tendencies and what is needed to make them more comfortable. There is so much love given to the residents. Meals are made daily at the home. There is an outdoor patio for resident visits or inside the TV viewing area. I suggest visiting Madera Assisted Living as an option for your loved one.

Madera has been such a blessing for the care that my mom has received. She has late stage Fronto Temporal Dementia, and the disease has made her "feisty" to say the least. Her previous assisted living home had medicated her fairly heavily to deal with her... but when she moved to Madera, they drastically decreased her dosages and her capabilities to do things like feed herself have come back! And, the caregivers treat her with love and compassion. It's different from large facilities that have lots of organized activities - but that's not what my mom needs, and they give my mom the attention and love that she DOES need and I'm so grateful we found Madera!

My mother has been at this Group Home for two and half years. I was on a waiting list until I was able to move her. The caregiving here is impeccable. They treat My mother with love and respect. When Looking to place your parent in a facility it is very difficult to find a place that you trust and that would treat your parent as you would. It’s not the home it’s self it’s the caregiving you receive . The Caregiver’s at Madera Park have truly been a blessing to me and my family. I would recommend this place to anyone and they would be fortunate to be placed here.

When I relocated to Arizona, knew I had to also find a place for my mom. I was worried because I knew finding a facility that was clean, provided good meals and were dedicated to their patients was going to be a huge and difficult task. All I am going to say is that my worries and concerns about my mother's care ended the day she moved into Madera. She is well cared for and it's easy to see how well adjusted she us. I could never imagine her anywhere else. Good people!
