6 months ago I went in looking and found a floor plan I loved. I got in contact with kb finance and she pulled my credit and told me come back in 2 years because of some late payments that no one would finance me especially FHA. I was selling my current home and had a large down payment. She gave me no advice on anything I could do to build my credit and ignored my email after telling me my credit was basically hopeless. Sales lady in the office was polite and helpful. Yes the homes are pretty. I had the same issue 14 years ago with KB homes when i was buying my first home. Just wanted to say I purchased a home with an FHA loan with an amazing interest rate 6 months later with a home builder who is willing to guide you a bit within 6 months. So if anyone goes to KB feeling you can't be a home owner. Shop around. Apparently they just want easy approval loans and aren't out there with any intent on guiding you or to be helpful at all. 2 times I tried buying with KB and 2 times another builder got me in a beautiful home within my budget.
