My first hand experience with assisted living facilities was during the last few years of my mother’s life in L.A. During that time she lived in a large assisted living community (about 90 beds), to which I was a frequent and extended visitor. The entire staff knew me as well as a number of the residents. I saw a number of shortcomings and matters of concern in that community.
The Gardens at San Carlos is a modern home away from home, with its many offerings. They include: plentiful natural lighting, great views, covered patio, a great room, 12:10 bath to bedroom ratio (try and beat that!), swimming pool, fruit trees, planned recreational activities, experienced staff and caregivers, and the promise of quality and compassionate care. This place also is centrally located in the community, making it convenient for families and friends to visit.
Although The Gardens is a spanking new arrival to the assisted living community, I would not hesitate to consider placing a loved one here.
