If I could give Residences in the Hills Assisted Living a perfect score of 10 stars, I would gladly do so! After visiting several assisted living homes, some of which were good and others that weren’t, we were fortunate to find this gem nestled in Laveen, just a 8-minute drive from our home. We scheduled an appointment to visit and meet Michael and his late wife, Cristina.
From the moment we stepped into the home, we knew we had found a place that would be more than suitable for my brother to reside in. Michael and Cristina were incredibly patient, kind, attentive, responsive, knowledgeable, and showed an amazing level of compassion for my brother. They took care of all his personal needs, including medication management, grooming, and scheduled home visits with his doctor.
The meals at Residences in the Hills were prepared with love and care, and if you happened to drop in during meal time, the enticing aroma of freshly made food would fill the home. The quality and variety of the food were exceptional, with everything being made from scratch. The home was always spotlessly clean, which gave us peace of mind.
Michael and Cristina ensured that all of my brother’s paperwork was up to date and current. My brother moved in there in 2021, and Michael and Cristina made the transition from living alone to living in a residential environment incredibly smooth and easy for him. He was very fond of both of them and they shared with us a side of him that we never knew! We felt at ease knowing that my brother was being well cared for and comfortable.
Although my brother passed away in April 2025, it’s comforting to know that he was in good hands and well taken care of during his time at Residences in the Hills Assisted Living.
I highly recommend this exceptional home to anyone who is looking for a place to care for a family member.
