My brother has been a resident of Bella Vita for several years and we are both very pleased. The owner, Laura, and house manager, Jamie, are easy to get in touch with, always responsive, friendly and very accommodating. The staff is about as consistent as you can expect, but always, always very friendly and willing to listen and help with any of my brother's unique circumstances. I would definitely recommend Bella Vita.

My wife and I have utilized the Bella Vita assisted living and memory care facility for 16 months for my wife's living accommodations. The ten-bed facility is well maintained with ample room for conversations, games and television viewing in the common area. Bedrooms each feature a Cox cable remote controlled television. The facility is a safe controlled access environment. The backyard offers a pleasant tree lined path for enjoying the spring and fall weather. The staff offer attentive care, medication management, and prepare and serve well balanced meals. Exercise and live music programs are presented each week. If you are considering an assisted living memory care facility for your loved one, Bella Vita certainly deserves your consideration.

My 102 year old step-father has been a resident at Bella Vita approaching four years now. We have been pleased with the care that he has received. The facility is well maintained and the staff are friendly and professional. The managing nurse, Jamie, is quick to respond to my texts and emails, and I have confidence in her medical assessments and recommendations. I also like that Bella Vita frequently has programs during the day to entertain and keep residents mentally engaged. It has been a very good care home for my stepfather.

My Mom was here for 4 months. They misrepresented what they provide as far as activities and getting prompt care for infections. I brought my Mom home. The worse incident I witnessed was a caretaker punching a resident in the stomach while he was choking! The residents daughter was also present. The manager is on site 3 to 5 hours a week, and was rude on several occasions. She lacks communication and management skills. 3 staff left in our 4 month stay. The one that was fired appeared drunk or high on more than one occasion. One staff member has been there 3 years and she has worked there the longest. The owner shows up for tours or to drop off groceries and is probably there less than an hour a week. At one point the manager told me to visit less frequently and for shorter periods. She wanted my Mom to bond with staff. Mom had bonded with the staff that chose to bond. They have little time to sit and chat. I was there 2 to 3 hrs a day visiting my Mom. Visiting hrs are 24/7. I know more about there daily operations than the owner or manager. Day staff works very hard with little appreciation. They are lucky to have Pam and Tracey! They need more staff hired to run some activities and help during busy hours. They had an activities person initially but, she did 2 activities in a couple months and did voice therapy with a resident q on 1. They have an activities staff person the last month or so my Mom was there. She works a few hrs on Mondays and does balloon volleyball. Mom was offered 6 staff initiated, activities her entire stay. The hierarchy would probably argie this and count Yoga videos and Travel videos as activities. The residents wanted interaction. After Mom moved out we went to see Moms friends there and join in the balloon volleyball. The activities person was on vacation so I ran the game. I always helped her. The next day the owner called and told me my Mom is not allowed to engage in activities there. Residents pay top dollar for their services! She said our visits need to be limited. When asked for clarification I was told maybe monthly for cookies and tea. Several residents and my Mom really bonded. It saddens me the owner has little compassion for the elderly whom have lost many friends and family and does not want to foster friendships. They lost some of my Mom's belongings but, found them when we moved out and replaced a set of sheets. Although they have 7 long term residents which I thought was a good thing I would not recommend this group home.
