One star is beyond generous. If you are considering this place, definitely read this. And yes, the place is under new management since we left but sadly the new management doesn’t have a good rep either. My brother was sent here for six weeks for one reason, his body is very resistant to most antibiotics so he needs a very strong one administered through IV. In the six weeks he was here they missed 16 doses of his medicine. My brother is a quadriplegic, we asked that he be given therapy to help his body tolerate sitting in his power chair. We were told due to their evaluation he only qualifies for range of motion in bed. A meeting was suppose to be scheduled but Louie kept ignoring me and then said he passed it off to someone but after a 3 way phone call we found out that wasn’t true, PT was never aware we wanted a meeting. When asking how they determined he doesn’t qualify for anything out of bed the lady tried throwing medical billing codes at us …unfortunately they didn’t know I worked at a chiropractor for 11 years and know first had at least two of the codes they bill for 1000% would cover my brothers therapy, the staff is just lazy. The therapy codes are for “physical therapy with progress” they literally said “well he won’t walk again …” WELL DUH! But you know what progress he can get …measurable range of motion!! You can sit him in a therapy chair and work each joint and be able to document each joint (shoulder, elbow, knee, hip, ankle, etc) range of motion at the start and end of the 6 weeks. That is covered under the codes they bill for. There was a huge HIPAA violation and when it was mentioned in our care meeting, the only concern they had was whether it was mentioned in a Facebook post I made about the facility. We expressed the importance of no new pressure sores and of course left with a big one on his foot. In the six weeks he was there he was given a total of THREE showers. The curtains in his room had mold on them. The bathroom sink didn’t drain until my mom asked a maintenance guy walking by to check it. Yes, we have photos of everything.
