My mom has had a wonderful experience at this assisted living home. From the very beginning, the staff has been kind, compassionate, and attentive to her needs. They truly treat the residents with dignity and respect, and it gives our family peace of mind knowing she is in such caring hands. The facility is always clean, welcoming, and well-maintained. There are plenty of activities to keep residents engaged, and the staff goes above and beyond to make everyone feel at home. Communication with our family has been excellent, and we always feel informed and included. I am so grateful for the love and care my mom receives every day. I highly recommend this assisted living home to anyone looking for a safe, supportive, and caring environment for their loved one.

I can’t say enough to express my appreciation for the care that Monica and Cornel gave my parents while in their care. My mom was a resident for about 10 years. My Dad followed later. The whole family of Monica and Cornel participated in caring for the residents. They showed a great deal of compassion. The atmosphere is the same as being at home. In our earlier years we were impressed with little Gracie’s personal attention to my mom. My mom was thrilled by Miss Gracie’s attention. Now miss Gracey is a teenager. We were part of the family. The family had a country feel, goats that provided milk, chickens that provide eggs and a beautiful yard to admire and walk through. The community of residents can enjoy each other’s company informally, in a home style setting. I live far away and coming to visit was inviting and homey. My parents started their retirement in Prescott and we had moved them at least three times to different retirement communities. The problem we had in Prescott was that personal care and supervision was spotty. Residents are in a apartment room and they are infrequently look after. A accident could happen and it would be hours till someone checked in. They promise the moon and provide excuses. Where as Desert Joy Assisted Living is a open floor plan. The residents are always visible and only when then want, they can retreat to their room. Where their voice can be heard easily by the care givers. Plenty of privacy for those who want it. The family takes pride in their rolls as care givers. Medical services come to the house in most cases. The decision by my brother and his family to put our parents in the care of Monica was the best decision that any body could have made. The family is the hardest working family I have ever met. God please them. I have a great deal of respect for them and would not hesitate to help them anytime they needed me. Love them! Fred

My mother lived at Desert Joy Assisted living for 6 years after touring several others she loved this care home as it was beautiful and very homely and the family so very caring that are truly loving and compassionate with their patients. It’s like a home environment and not a hospital and Mom loved Monica and she and her husband Cory were so very caring they were like family. Mom loved sitting out back on the beautiful patio and even enjoyed playing putting on the golf green and walking around to the side to visit the goats that she loved petting. This is the most loving and caring home and really got to know the whole family that all help with the great care they give!! I was deeply touched that when my Mom was taken by ambulance the day she passed how caring Monica was and asked to come up to the hospital to support me during Moms passing. Her compassion and support truly meant a lot to me to have her there with me through her passing with prayers and playing some of my Moms favorite music as my Mom loved music. Monica was an angel with her loving support to me to the end of my Moms passing! There is no greater place to have your loved ones than Desert Joy Assisted Living!

My grandparents lived at Desert Joy for nearly 11 years. They had previously been in an assisted living facility before moving into Desert Joy. There is no place better than "Monica's"- Desert Joy Assisted Living. My grandparents were treated like family and Monica and her family became part of our family. We are so thankful for Monica and her family and the care they gave to our grandparents. Words cannot express how grateful and thankful we are to this family and the caregivers that work there. My grandparents lived out their final days surrounded by family and caregivers that loved them. I would highly recommend Desert Joy Assisted Living to anyone who requires assisted living care. Monica, I am forever grateful to you!!
